A lot of people have been buying paid plugins for it. ![]() ![]() Google created a fantastic, free light CAD program with a simplified interface called Sketchup on some engineer's 20% time, sat on it for a few years as it gained immense popularity, then when they couldn't make money on the millions of users, they sold it to Trimble, who have been gradually destroying it (first no real feature improvements, then "We're switching to web-app only", then no more 3D warehouse, then I think they deleted access to the free version?).Īt present, a lot of us seem to be using an old client of it, and I don't know what's going to happen if Trimble actually turns it off with DRM. ![]()
